HypoFix™ Primer – Step 1 of the HypoFix™ Nail Recovery System

Professional primer for natural nail care

HypoFix™ Primer is an innovative, salon-grade primer that helps repair and strengthen brittle, damaged or discoloured nails. It’s the first step in the HypoFix™ 2-Step System, forming a science-backed base for healthy nails – whether used in the salon or by clients at home during recovery.


The formula contains Piroctone Olamine, a powerful ingredient that purifies the nail plate and helps protect against microbes. The result: a cleaner, stronger nail surface ready for further care or reinforcement.


HypoFix™ Primer is suitable for use under gel products in the salon (such as BIAB™, base coat or gel polish), but can also be used alone by clients who temporarily choose not to wear enhancements – for example after allergies or nail stress.


For best results, use together with the HypoFix™ Repair Serum – step 2 that completes the nail recovery routine.

Professional salon use (under product)

  1. Prep: Clean hands, gently push back cuticles, file and buff nail plate, degrease
  2. Apply a thin layer of HypoFix™ Primer: Do not cure – let air dry (60 sec). The nail will have a subtle sheen once ready for product
  3. Continue your service: Apply BIAB™ or rubber base. Finish with colour or top coat

💡 During infills: remember to reapply the primer to the new nail growth.


At-home use (without enhancements)

For clients who wish to pause gel or BIAB™ treatments, or suspect an allergy:

  1. Apply HypoFix™ Primer to the natural nails
  2. Let it dry – do not cure
  3. Then apply HypoFix™ Repair Serum daily to the cuticles
  4. Repeat weekly for the primer, daily for the serum

This allows the nails to recover naturally without exposure to heavy products.


Combine with HypoFix™ Repair Serum (step 2)

For a complete recovery routine, use both together:

  • Primer = purifying base
  • Serum = nourishing and strengthening finish
